Flowers here show the manner in which people typically lay flowers on a grave when they visit their deceased loved ones. Note the even number of flowers (in this case, eight). Even numbers (not odd) represent participation and union with the spirit of the person who has died. Bouquets of flowers offered as a present to a living person always consist of an odd-number of flowers. The Arabic is from the Quran.
