The US-Azerbaijan
Chamber of Commerce

The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) has just been established in Washington, D.C. Their goal is to promote and advance the development of business and commerce between the US and Azerbaijan. The Chamber will facilitate the entry of US businesses into Azerbaijan's market, serve as a liaison between them and the Azerbaijani government, as well as help Azerbaijani businesses connect to markets here in the US.

The Chamber extends deep appreciation to the following companies which have contributed to its establishment: Amoco, BP America, Chevron, Exxon, Mobil, Occidental, Panalpina, and Unocal.

Conference on Trade and Investment-Houston in May 1996
The US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) of Washington, D.C., and the Greater Houston Partnership are jointly organizing a "Conference on Trade and Investment Opportunities in Azerbaijan" in Houston on May 20-22, 1996. The conference will focus on Azerbaijan's promising markets for American goods and services.

Conference presentations will analyze business opportunities in Azerbaijan including best investment prospects, foreign successes and funding opportunities. Top Azerbaijani government officials and businessmen will attend and special sessions will focus on industry and agriculture.

After the first day of formal meetings, two days of private meetings will be arranged so that American business personnel can meet Azerbaijani counterparts and government officials.
