Amcham

In July, AMCHAM (The American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan) appointed a new Executive Director, Nargiz Nasrulla-yeva-Muduroghlu. She replaces Jonelle Glosch.

Nargiz started her professional career in Baku at the HSBC Bank in 1997. In 2001-2004, she took on the responsibilities as Center Manager for the Regus Business Center in the Landmark Building.

AMCHAM was established in Baku in 1996 as a private, non-profit organization. Currently, it boasts 130 members. It is the principal group, representing Western business interests in Azerbaijan and working with government officials to improve the business climate for international investment. AMCHAM now has active committees and working groups dealing with pertinent issues related to Azerbaijan's Ministries of Taxes, Finance, Economic Development, Communi-cations and Information Technology, and the State Customs Committee. Each month, AMCHAM organizes a luncheon. They also hold an annual Independence Day picnic (July 4) and a New Year's Ball.
