Effective 16 May, 2002, Ernst & Young and Andersen announced the combination of their operations of the two practices in Baku. The enlarged firm will operate under the banner of Ernst & Young and will have a client base made up of international and domestic firms working in Azerbaijan. The Baku office will be staffed by more than 50 professionals.

Ernst & Young were the first international professional services firm to establish operations in the former Soviet Union (CIS). With the combination of Ernst & Young and Andersen in 2002, they have expanded their services and resources to help meet the needs of clients throughout the CIS.
