KEY WEST, Florida - The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are expected to meet with President George W. Bush in Washington on Monday after making significant progress toward a settlement of their conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh in peace talks here, senior officials close to the negotiations said Friday.
The Bush administration welcomes the steps President Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Robert Kocharian of Armenia have taken toward peace, and encourage them to move further, the officials said.
